New Addition to Service Play Forum..Specifically for posting additional topics.

The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

NBA NEWS AND NOTES
GAME OF THE DAY

Orlando Magic at Boston Celtics (-6, 187.5)

The Celtics set their sites on an unlikely sweep in tonight's Eastern Conference finals. After winning eight straight playoff games, the Magic trail the series 3-0. No NBA team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit to win a series.

To be the best...

The Boston Celtics have beaten the NBA's best regular season teams so far in the playoffs. They knocked off Cleveland with its NBA best 61 regular-season wins and now are on the verge of beating Orlando who had the best record in the game after Jan. 1.

Who's next, the Lakers?

Boston raced out to a 21-6 lead in Saturday's 94-71 win and never looked back.

Blowout city

The Celtics aren?t just winning these games, they?re rolling. Rajon Rondo, who has emerged as the perhaps the best player on team known for their ?Big 3? had 12 assists in Saturday?s blowout. The Magic had just 10 as a team.

And Rondo's hustle and steal in a duel against Orlando's Jason Williams were all the rave on the highlight shows after the game. The Celtics seem to just want it more.

After Boston swept Orlando on the road, Paul Pierce said the series was not going to come back to Florida. While Celtics coach Doc Rivers told his star to hush, Boston seems to be backing up Pierce's boasts.

Boston has not only won all three games, they've covered the spread in everyone easily. All three games have gone under the total.

Break out the brooms

Ray Allen is banking on the sweep. "Monday is do or die for us," he said.

Said Rivers: "They're going to come back in the next game and they're going to give us their best shot. Quite honestly, we're not good enough to let up. I can tell you that. And they're good enough to get it going. And so we have to be very conscious of that."

Superman to the rescue?

Dwight Howard had just seven points and seven rebounds Saturday night.

"They played a lot harder than us tonight," said Howard. "They went after all the loose balls. And they did it from tip-off to the end of the game.

"It seemed like tonight our bodies were here but our minds weren't. Our hearts -- it seemed like we weren't really into it."

Howard concluded: "We can't hold our heads. This is a very tough situation, but if we already think about being defeated, then we shouldn't even come for Game 4. So we got to just keep fighting and stay together."

Injury report

Orlando's Matt Barnes played 15 minutes with a sore back in Saturday's loss. He could have played more but why bother. He'll be probable for tonight's game.

The Celtics are old, but healthy.

Trend-setting

While Orlando has great numbers on the road as of late, remember that they finished the season so well and then won eight straight games to start the playoffs.

Are the numbers skewed for this one?

Here they are:

The Magic are 20-8-1 ATS in their last 29 games.

The underdog is 7-1 in the last eight games in this series.

The Magic are 6-1 ATS in their last seven road games.

The C's have covered the spread in six straight and are 7-1 ATS against teams with a winning record. On the downside, Boston is 9-21-1 ATS after winning a game by more than 10 points.

PICKS 'N' ROLL

Monday's Best NBA Bet

Orlando Magic at Boston Celtics (-7, 188)

A picture is worth a thousand words, and one play from Game 3 tells the whole story of this series.

As Orlando's Jason Williams casually jogged down court for a loose ball, Boston's Rajon Rando made a Pete Rose-dive on the parkay floor, scooped up the ball and scored a layup on a befuddled Williams.

Not to make too much out of one play, but if an alien spaceship abducts you and demands to know the secret to how the Celtics have so thoroughly trounced the Magic, skip the anal probe and show them that clip.

"It was a great play just to be a part of," Boston's Paul Pierce said. "Me and my friends were talking about that play. You're going to see them replaying that hustle play throughout all the NBA commercials, I think, for the next 20, 25, 30 years. That's how great that play was."

OK, so it may not replace Michael Jordan's facial of Craig Ehlo or an injured Willis Reed's grand entrance into Madison Square Garden, but it does tell the tale of the Magic-Celtics series.

"They’re beating us in every category in terms of hustle things," Orlando's Jameer Nelson concurred. "I can't put my finger on it, but it's more than just one thing."
The two most-telling "hustle things" are steals and turnovers, with the Celtics leading those categories by 27-20 and 49-37 margins, respectively.

Those are the X-factors the Magic have lacked all series and there's no reason to believe they will magically appear tonight. The Celtics have them in the perfect pose and it won't be a pretty picture.

Pick: Boston Celtics

Monday's Streaking And Slumping Starting Pitchers

Streaking

Joe Saunders (3-5, 4.42 ERA) Los Angeles Angels
Despite getting off to a miserable 1-5 start to the season, Saunders has been on fire in his last three starts, going 2-0 with a miniscule 0.81 ERA during the stretch.
After going 0-3 with an 8.31 ERA in his previous four starts, Saunders threw just the second complete-game shutout of his career, outdueling Dallas Braden after his perfect game with a four-hit gem of his own against the Oakland A's on May 14.
"I don't know who was wearing Joe's uniform earlier in the year, but that's what we're used to," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said after the game. "He pitched a terrific game."

The southpaw showed it wasn't a fluke by following it up with a 3-2 win over the Chicago White Sox last week.Saunders has allowed just two earned runs over his last 22 1/3 innings.

Saunders got his only win in the month of April against these same Blue Jays, throwing eight innings without allowing an earned run.

Slumping

John Danks (3-3, 2.26 ERA) Chicago White Sox
With the possible exception of Roy Oswalt, no pitcher has been a bigger hard-luck loser lately than Danks, who is 0-3 over his last three starts despite a solid 2.91 ERA during that span.

Danks came out on the short end of 3-2 losses to the Los Angeles Angels and Minnesota Twins in his two most recent outings and started the slide with a 2-0 defeat to the Toronto Blue Jays. His latest loss to L.A. was a real heartbreaker, allowing a two-run homer to Torii Hunter that proved the difference.

"Basically, he made one mistake all game and Torii didn't miss it," White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski said of Danks. "Other than that, [Danks] was lights-out. We outhit them, 6-3, and found a way to lose. It's a shame. The way he's throwing the ball, he should have five, six or seven wins. He has been pretty money for us all year."

Danks' combined seven earned runs over 21 2/3 innings resulted in three straight defeats despite the fact that he allowed the same number of hits as he had strikeouts (18) and carried a 1.15 WHIP in that stretch.

HOT LINES

Monday's Best MLB Bets

Chicago White Sox at Cleveland Indians (150, 8)

Two of the lightest hitting teams in the American League square off in this one, which could be a pitchers' duel by default with the way these squads are swinging the sticks.

The Indians are ranked 11th in the 14-team AL, batting a poor .245 on the season. That number drops to .219 when they face a lefty, as they do in Chicago's Joe Danks today. The Tribe has lost six straight of their last seven outings and have not scored more than four runs in a game during that span.

Indians manager Manny Acta has tried shuffling the lineup in search of the right combination but nothing has been working lately. The numbers don't lie and the frustration is building.

"I love stats, but I don't go by stats every single day," Acta said. "If you do that, you're going to have a different lineup every day."

Fortunately for them, they face one of the few weaker swinging teams in the White Sox, who ranked 13th in the AL at .238 before being shut out 13-0 on Sunday. Cleveland's Justin Masterson handled the Chi-Sox in opening week.

With the exception of the last meeting between these two teams on April 18, a 7-4 Indians' victory, the under was 7-0-1 in their previous eight clashes. Expect that trend to continue.

Pick: Under

Pittsburgh Pirates at Cincinnati Reds (-180, 9.5)

Both teams play in the Midwest in relatively new stadia located on a river, but Cincinnati might as well be on another planet for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Bucs have struggled on the road against the Reds, going 1-7 in their last eight visits to the Great American Ballpark. But their road woes aren't limited to the Queen City, going 16-49 in their last 65 away games overall.
Of course, the Pirates seem to struggle no matter where they play the Reds, going 4-13 in the last 17 meetings and being swept and outscored 16-1 in a three-game home set two weeks ago.

The Reds are the National League's hottest team, winning 11 of their last 15. They rank fourth in the majors in ballpark OPS (.783) and should provide enough offense for starter Aaron Harang (2-5) to end his 2-8 home skid.

Pick: Cincinnati Reds

WHAT BETTORS NEED TO KNOW

Montreal Canadiens at Philadelphia Flyers (-174, 5)

The Montreal Canadiens have dug themselves into another playoff hole. To continue their miracle run, the Habs will have to win three in a row starting with Monday’s game in Philly.

The goal is to score

The Habs were shut out for the third time in the series, the first time that’s happened in Montreal’s 101-year franchise history. They only mustered 17 shots and were dominated in the second period when the Flyers outshot the home side 13-1.

“We didn’t execute and we got away from the game plan,” Habs forward Tomas Plekanec told the Montreal Gazette. “We had too many guys trying to do it by themselves. We didn’t support the defense and they didn’t support us.”

So what is the game plan?

Hockey analysts say Montreal was successful in Game 3 because it dumped the puck in and harassed Philly’s defensemen into coughing up possession. The Canadiens didn’t attack with the same strategy in Game 4.

"We didn't get the puck deep in the second period. We turned the puck [over] numerous times," Canadiens coach Jacques Martin said after the game.

"We played in what you call a danger zone, if you ask me. The blue lines are usually dangerous zones. At your own blue line, you have to get the puck out, and the offensive line, you have to get the puck deep."

Welcome back Carter

Philly got a big bounce by the return of Jeff Carter. The team’s second-leading scorer in the regular season was expected to miss the remainder of the season when he broke his foot in the first round of the playoffs.

"It's awesome," Carter told the Camden Courier-Post. "When I got hurt, I thought I was going to be the cheerleader.

He played almost 14 minutes in his first game in over a month and skated with Mike Richards and Simon Gagne. He had four shots, four hits and won three of his four faceoffs.

Losing an edge

NBC color commentator Pierre McGuire reported during the second period of Saturday’s game that there was on the ground in the Flyers’ hallway.

Whatever was on the ground must didn’t help out Philly’s skaters. Several players missed shifts in the second period because of skate problems.

“We had skate issues, that’s for sure,” coach Peter Laviolette told the Philadelphia Inquirer. “You know, we lost [Mike] Richards three times, Kimmo [Timonen] two times, and I don’t know.”

Whether it was gamesmanship or just some unexplained spillage, there some definitely something whacky going on with the Flyers skates.

“I think it was five times that I had to get my skates sharpened tonight, which is obviously a bit much,” Richards said. “I’m not sure [what happened]. I didn't check the carpet for [sand].”

Monday's Best NHL Bets

Montreal Canandiens at Philadelphia Flyers (-180, 5)

Philadelphia Flyers center Jeff Carter and winger Ian Lapierre were told their seasons were over one month ago. The hockey gods had other plans.

Carter broke his foot for the second time this season on April 20 and LaPierre got 70 stitches in his head after being hit by a puck two days later. Neither was expected to lace up the skates again until next season.

But the season got longer when the Flyers fought their way out of a 3-0 hole against Boston and both players made remarkable recoveries to get back in the game for the first time in Saturday's win at Montreal.

They were limited to a combined 23 minutes in Game 4, which was used just to let them get their skates under them after the long layoffs. But they did provide an emotional lift and will be unleashed tonight.

"To have them both back at the same time was a good confidence-booster for us, and both of them played great," said Flyers goalie Michael Leighton, who scored his third shutout of the series Saturday. "For being off so long, they both jumped into the lineup and did what they've been doing all year."

The duo combined for 36 goals and 45 assists this season so the Flyers suddenly have increased firepower. But they also have provided an inspirational spark to a team on a roll.

It's hard to count out the Canadiens after their escapes from elimination this postseason, but they're on the ropes getting a standing eight.

Hondo

Hondo did a bad split yesterday, hitting with the Blue Jays in the afternoon but missing with the Yanks in the soiree to raise the IOUs slightly to an even-steven 600 parnells.

Tonight, he'll go with the TBs, who tend to give the Sawx the heebie jeebies -- 10 units on Davis over Buchholz.

NBA PLAYOFFS

EASTERN CONFERENCE

Orlando (8-3 SU, 7-4 ATS) at Boston (11-3 SU and ATS)

The red-hot Celtics aim to complete a shocking sweep of the second-seeded Magic in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals at TD Garden. Boston hammered a desperate Orlando team Saturday night, allowing just 12 first-quarter points on the way to a 94-71 bashing as a 3½-point home favorite to take an ostensibly insurmountable 3-0 series lead. Glen Davis (17 points) led a balanced attack, as six Celtics scored in double figures, with Rajon Rondo netting a dozen assists to go with his 11 points. Boston, the No. 4 seed in the East, also forced 17 turnovers and committed just nine. Boston has now won six in a row SU and ATS against the teams that posted the top two regular-season records, taking Games 4, 5 and 6 from the top-seeded Cavs before snagging the first three from the Magic.
Orlando had only three players score in double figures Saturday, and none were named Dwight Howard, who had a meager seven points and seven rebounds. Vince Carter and Jameer Nelson scored 15 apiece, but the Magic shot a dismal 36.9 percent (24 of 65), hitting just 8 of 30 from three-point land (26.7 percent). Stan Van Gundy’s troops allowed the Celtics to shoot 46.6 percent overall (34 of 73) and 54.5 percent from long distance (6 of 11). No team has ever overcome a 3-0 deficit in a best-of-7 NBA playoff series, in 93 previous opportunities. Boston is 5-1 ATS (4-2 SU) in the last six meetings with Orlando, and the Celts’ SU and ATS win in Game 3 halted a 7-0 ATS tear by the visitor and the underdog in this rivalry, a streak that dated to Game 7 of last year’s second-round playoff series – won by Orlando. Doc Rivers’ squad is 15-7 ATS in its last 22 home starts against the Magic. The SU winner has cashed in each of Boston’s last 24 games overall, including all 14 playoff contests, and the SU winner is 18-1 ATS in the Magic’s last 19 contests. Boston is 30-18 SU this season at the Garden but just 18-29-1 ATS. In the playoffs, though, the Celtics are 6-1 SU and ATS at home. Orlando is 29-17 (26-19-1 ATS) on the highway this season and has won 12 of its last 15 away from home (10-4-1 ATS), with Saturday’s meltdown marking its first SU and ATS road loss in this year’s playoffs. The Magic are 1-4 ATS in their last five conference finals tilts, but despite the debacle in this series, they remain on several positive pointspread sprees, including 20-8-1 overall, 6-1 on the highway, 10-4-1 after a non-cover, 18-7-1 after a day off and 16-7 against Atlantic Division foes. Along with their 11-3 ATS mark in the postseason (6-0 last six), the Celtics are on pointspread upswings of 6-1 at home, 4-0 in conference finals contests, 6-0 after a day off, 7-1 against the Southeast Division and 5-1 laying points. Orlando sports a bundle of “under” streaks, including 8-2-1 overall (6-1 last seven), 40-12-1 after a non-cover, 28-9 after a SU loss, 9-3 as a pup (all on the road) and 37-13-1 after a day off. Likewise, Boston is on “under” rolls of 5-1 overall (4-0 last four), 10-2 in conference finals contests (6-1 last seven), 5-1 after a day off and 6-2 as a playoff chalk. Finally, the total has stayed low in 10 of the last 11 Celtics-Magic clashes overall, including six of seven this season, with all three games of this series falling short of the posted number. Also, the last five meetings between these two in Boston have stayed low.

ATS ADVANTAGE: UNDER

AMERICAN LEAGUE

Boston (24-21) at Tampa Bay (32-12)

The Red Sox, winners of five of their last six, head to Tropicana Field for a key three-game set with right-hander Clay Buchholz (5-3, 3.26 ERA) on the hill opposite the Rays’ Wade Davis (4-3, 3.35). Boston took two of three in Philadelphia over the weekend, capped by Sunday’s 8-3 victory. Still, the Red Sox remain just 4-7 in their last 11 road games and 8-20 in their last 28 on the road against teams with a winning percentage of .600.
Tampa, which has the best record in baseball and leads Boston by 8½ games in the A.L. East, has won eight of its last nine, including four of five on a road trip that ended Sunday with a 10-6 win in Houston. The Rays are on several hot streaks, including 38-14 overall, 123-56 at home, 23-6 against A.L. East teams and 12-5 in series openers. The Rays swept a four-game set in mid-April in Boston, dominating the Red Sox in outscoring them 24-9. Also, the Rays have taken 17 of the last 23 series clashes in Tampa (playoffs included). Buchholz is a perfect 3-0 with a 1.86 ERA in three road starts this season, allowing just four earned runs in 19 1/3 innings. He’s coming off Wednesday’s 3-2 home win over Minnesota, allowing two runs on five hits in eight innings, striking out seven and walking just one. With Buchholz on the hill, the Red Sox are just 2-8 on the road against winning teams, but 7-0 in his last seven road starts, 7-0 in his last seven series openers, 9-3 in his last 12 after four days off and 7-3 in his last 10 against A.L. East teams. Buccholz faced the Rays on April 17 and gave up four runs (none earned) on three hits over five innings, but suffered the 6-5 home loss. He’s 2-2 with a 2.01 ERA in five career starts versus Tampa Davis beat the Yankees on Wednesday in the Bronx, giving up two runs on seven hits over 5 2/3 innings of a 10-6 victory. Tampa has won five of his last seven starts, including an April 16 win in Boston when he gave up one run on two hits over five innings of a 3-1 victory. In his only previous career start against the Red Sox – last September at Fenway Park – Davis got rocked, allowing eight runs in 2 2/3 innings of a 9-1 loss. Davis is 2-2 with a 4.12 ERA in four starts at The Trop this season. For the Red Sox, the under is on surges of 23-7-1 as road ‘dogs, 33-17-3 as ‘dogs anywhere and 4-1-1 when Buchholz starts as a pup, but they are on “over” runs of 5-0 on Monday, 5-2-2 in series openers, 8-3-1 in Buchholz’s last 12 starts overall and 4-1 when Buchholz pitches on Monday. Tampa has stayed below the total in 15 of 22 overall, eight straight at home, five of seven in series openers and 35 of 55 at home against losing teams, but the Rays are also on “over” streaks of 10-3 on Monday and 5-1 against A.L. East teams.
Finally, in this rivalry, the over has cashed in three of the last four matchups in Florida.
